Samsung Omnia W is a stylish Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone with a rather thin 0.43-inch profile and relatively lightweight 4.07-ounce body. Designwise, it's similar to the original Omnia 7, but instead of going for a strictly rectangular shape, here the edges are rounded. It's also a hair thinner and half an ounce lighter. But the key word in the description of the W series seems to be balance as the handset doesn’t shine with anything in particular in the hardware department. It features a 3.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, while under the hood a 1.4GHz processor runs along with 512MB of RAM. On the back, there’s a 5-megapixel camera recording 720p video footage, while up front a VGA shooter will make video conferencing easier.The rest is pretty standard - 14.4Mbps HSPA connectivity, 8 gigs of on-board memory, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n and A-GPS.

Tidak lama lagi pasar smartpone akan mulai dibanjiri perangkat berbasiskan platform mobile Microsoft bernama Windows phone 7 Mango. Setelah HTC, giliran Samsung yang mengumumkan kehadiran smartphone Windows Phone 7 Mango-nya bernama Samsung Omnia W.

Omnia W menjadi smartphone terbaru Samsung berbasiskan platform Windows Phone 7 Mango atau lebih dikenal dengan Mango. Kehadiran Omnia W menambah jajaran smartphone berbasiskan Mango lainnya yang telah hadir sebelumnya.

Dilansir GSMArena, dikutip CBN, Samsung memperkuat Omnia W dengan layar sentuh berukuran 3,7 inci WVGA. Yang menarik, layarnya ini telah dibekali dengan teknologi Super AMOLED, sehingga mampu menghasilkan tampilan yang tajam dan bersih.

Sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan Microsoft pada Mango, Omnia W diperkuat dengan prosesor Snapdragon MSM8255 berkecepatan 1.4GHz dari Qualcomm, kartu grafis Adreno 205, dan RAM 512MB.

Sementara itu, untuk fitur lainnya, Omnia W 'hanya' dibekali dengan kamera snapper berkapasitas 5 megapiksel with LED flash, perekaman video@720p, dan sebuah kamera tambahan dibagian depan berjenis VGA, kapasitas penyimpanan 8GB (internal), dan baterai berkapasitas 1500mAh, serta mendukung koneksi jaringan, seperti Wi-Fi, GPS, dan Bluetooth.

Menurut informasi yang beredar, Samsung Omnia W akan mulai tersedia di bulan November tahun ini dengan harga yang ditawarkan 450 euro. Tweet
